So here’s the inside scoop:
Dr. Sydney Stoker grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She completed her undergraduate studies at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa where she played collegiate soccer while majoring in Economics. She received her dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University and began her professional career as a general dentist. After practicing family dentistry for two years she moved to Denver where she completed her residency in orthodontics at the University of Colorado. A fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at Stanford University prompted her and her husband to make the move to the Bay Area.
Dr. Stoker is a board-certified orthodontist. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and getting outside whenever possible to play with her dog Pierre (aka Sweet Potato, aka Sweet Pea, aka Sweets, aka Tiny). On weekends you will find her headed to the mountains for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
I love my community because: The Bay Area has so many fun things to do and see, so much diversity, and great food! The weather is great too, although sometimes I do find myself missing the snow-but not shoveling it!
I chose to work with children because: After working as a family dentist with patients of all ages I’ve realized that kids make the best patients!
My hobbies include: Hiking, skiing, traveling, cooking, reading a good book, Netflix/ESPN, studying history
