Kind Regards,
The Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics Family

As your child’s dental “ home,” we’ll focus on every smile-related detail. We work to make sure that every Kids Care patient has healthy teeth, healthy gums, and healthy dental habits.

Why Is Pediatric Dentistry Important?

Dental care is important from the moment the first tooth emerges (usually between 6 and 12 months.)

How promptly you see a pediatric dentist affects your child’s development of healthy permanent teeth and a normal jaw, as well as their ability to speak and chew properly. And as more baby and permanent teeth come in, good dental care becomes all the more crucial.

But it’s not all about what happens in our office—we work with both kids and parents to help develop healthy habits that will (hopefully) last a lifetime. From sharing fun lessons on how to floss and brush your teeth to encouraging children to monitor sugar intake, we help keep little smiles squeaky clean even between checkups.

Kids Care Dental Is Your One-Stop Shop for a Healthy Smile

Once You’re a Kids Care Dental Patient, You Won’t Need To Go Anywhere Else

We’re proud to offer a range of solutions at our state-of-the-art offices, such as:

Dental cleanings

Despite your best efforts to brush and floss your little one’s teeth, plaque and food debris that get stuck between the teeth can promote the growth of bacteria inside the mouth. Unfortunately, this can increase the risks of tooth decay and other periodontal diseases if left unchecked.

Your pediatric dentist at Kids Care Dental does more than make your child’s teeth look sparkly clean. During a teeth cleaning, they also make sure to remove plaque and tartar buildup and look around for any signs of decay.

X-rays, crowns, and white (amalgam-free) fillings

We also offer diagnostic and restoration services for any dental or orthodontic concern your child may have. Using teeth X-rays to catch problems early on allows us to intervene promptly and get your little one started with the necessary procedures. Our X-ray procedures enable us to monitor your child’s tooth anatomy and jawbone, while our crown and white filling solutions help reinforce the structure of weakened or damaged teeth found by our scans.

Fluoride treatments

Fluoride is available in food, water and dental products such as toothpaste. However, your dentist may recommend a fluoride treatment for your child due to various reasons, like the following:

  • Frequent sugar and carbohydrate intake
  • Poor oral hygiene habits
  • Pits on the teeth’s chewing surfaces

If our dentist recommends fluoride treatment for your little one, the process is fairly simple. The fluoride gel is applied to the teeth and allowed to cover them for a few minutes. This is a quick and easy solution to help prevent cavities or the onset of the different tooth decay stages.

Dental Exam and Checkup

Children are at risk of developing tooth decay and other oral issues as soon as their first tooth appears. A regular checkup at Kids Care Dental makes it easier to protect your little one from such risks and preserve their beautiful smiles.

A dental exam generally checks whether the teeth are coming out and growing as they should. Meanwhile, routine checkups address any problems discovered to ensure every tooth is strong and healthy throughout your child’s growth and development. Sounds too serious and even frightening for your little ones? Fortunately, the entire team at Kids Care Dental ensures every checkup is fun and enjoyable.

Tooth extractions

While we try our best to preserve your child’s natural tooth, pulling teeth may be necessary in cases where the damage is already severe. A tooth has to be moved if excessive decay, severe infection or crowding issues are present. Tooth extractions may also be done to make room for permanent teeth, especially during straightening treatments like braces.

No matter your child’s unique situation, you can rest assured that our trained pediatric dentist will practice care throughout the procedure. We’ll also be happy to provide aftercare instructions after the extraction.

Early tooth decay screenings

Your child’s teeth may be susceptible to cavities, so it’s best to visit a pediatric dentist near you early to catch and treat tooth decay before it worsens. Our dentist can also perform fluoride treatment and other services during these appointments, especially if your child’s teeth are at an increased risk of developing problems.

The earlier you begin bringing your children for regular tooth decay screenings, the healthier their mouths can be. Early screenings help stop cavities, which often cause pain, inflammation, and trouble concentrating.

Brushing and flossing lessons

What sets Kids Care Dental apart is that we ensure every visit is educational for both kids and parents. Some topics we cover include how to floss and brush your teeth and monitor sugar intake, perfect for encouraging young children to build positive oral hygiene habits.

Of course, we’re also happy to encourage parents with helpful tips for improving their child’s oral health, like how to brush and floss for a more effective clean. We keep all lessons fun and exciting to encourage kids to come back – and even look forward to their dentist appointments!

Pediatric sedation services

Our pediatric sedation services may be an option for children highly anxious about visiting the dentist. This safe procedure helps people of all ages, including kids, feel calm and relaxed during dental procedures. A low-to-moderate level of sedation is generally used in these services, so patients remain conscious but feel calmer as they undergo dental care.

However, pediatric sedation may not be suitable for all children, especially those with certain pre-existing medical conditions or anesthesia sensitivities. Please contact us to understand if sedation dentistry is right for your child.

Orthodontics

At Kids Care Dental, we offer a range of orthodontic treatment options for your child, including clear and metal braces and Invisalign. We also have oral appliances designed to protect against sports-related tooth damage and address the causes and effects of teeth grinding.

After your free consultation, we prepare a cost estimate for your child’s recommended treatment. We also walk you through our available financing options so you can find the right plan for your budget.

Oral surgery

Wisdom teeth can cause serious dental problems, even if they don’t erupt to the surface of the gums. If you believe your child may need wisdom teeth extraction, please don’t hesitate to consult Kids Care Dental.

During our consultations, we will work with you to determine if oral surgery is necessary. If we deem it appropriate, our team will begin arranging the surgery and making accommodations for your child. Most importantly, our trained oral surgeons make the whole procedure as safe and comfortable for you and your child as possible.
