So here’s the scoop:
Dr. Dorothy Nelson is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She received her undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Washington. Shortly after, she completed her specialty training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, a program heavily focused on the management of children with special healthcare needs in a hospital setting. She also had the privilege to teach as a professor at the University of Washington, in the department of pediatric dentistry, before joining KCDO.
Dr. Dorothy has a strong focus on implementing an oral wellness approach to her practice philosophy that goes beyond the teeth. She believes pediatric dentists have an incredible opportunity to provide support to families beyond the management of cavities. You may find yourselves discussing your child’s birth history, feeding history, and sleeping history as well when Dr. Dorothy meets your family.
Dr. Dorothy is new to California, and she is looking forward to being a part of a community of passionate providers and getting to know the families in the area too.
