Dr. Julie is no stranger to the field of dentistry. The third generation dentist comes from a long line of family dentists dating back to her two grandfathers who were dental school classmates at Marquette University in the 1940’s. They stayed friends and many years later one of their sons and one of their daughters married (Dr. Julie’s parents) and also attended Marquette University School of Dentistry. As the fifth of six kids, she is part of an enormous family that includes 23 nieces and nephews. Dr. Julie and her husband have four girls of their own. She has spent her life around kids which makes her a perfect fit to work at Kids Care.
Dr. Julie grew up in Wauwatosa, WI and moved to California for college at the University of San Diego before attending dental school at UCLA. After completing a one year general practice residency at the VA Sepulveda in Los Angeles, she moved to Chico, CA where she worked in a community clinic for five years, before relocating to Sacramento, CA. Dr. Julie loves putting emphasis on early education and prevention with her patients.
I chose to work with children because: Kids are full of wonder. I’m continually amazed by their thoughtful words and sweet actions. It’s fun watching them grow up too!
My hobbies include: Coffee, baking, podcasts, thrifting, and singing/dancing to Disney made for TV movie soundtracks with my kids
If I wasn’t a dentist, I’d probably be: A grade school grammar teacher
